Noel Kilkenny, the Counsel General of the Republic of Ireland, and his wife Hanora O’Dea Kilkenny were the special guests at the Friday, Oct 12 grand opening of the “Irish and the Erie Canal” exhibit on display at Maspeth Town Hall. The exhibit, created by the Irish American Heritage Museum, will be on public view from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on weekday evenings and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekends through Oct. 21.
