Love Was In the Air In Sunnyside

Seniors at the Sunnyside Community Services (SCS) Center for Active Older Adults enjoyed a special Valentine’s Day celebration on Feb. 14 featuring classic songs of love performed by local attorney and community leader Marc Leavitt. Over 100 members attended this year’s party, and many sang along to the classic tunes in both English and Spanish. Guests also got the chance to win prizes raffled off, including 200 bottles of wine. SCS Executive Director Judy Zangwill thanked Leavitt, who has been performing at the center for over 30 years, and the Sunnyside Kiwanis Club and local businesses for their sponsorship.
