More than $13,500 was raised for St. Pancras School during the Glendale school’s 11th annual Supermarket Sweeps held on Apr. 4 at its auditorium. Hundreds of guests participated in the event and tried their luck at winning prizes such as a flat-screen television, iPads, a monestary breakfast, a George Foreman barbecue grill, New York Jets and New York Islanders memorabilia, Michael Kors and Coach handbags, lottery tickets, and food processors. In all, more than 125 gift baskets and 280 grocery baskets were up for the taking at the event, which was coordinated by St. Pancras Fund-Raising Committee Co-Chairs Monica Giglietto and Roisin Reilly. Among those pictured at the top St. Pancras Principal Joseph Venticinque and seventh-grade volunteers who worked the event as prize runners. Venticinque is shown in the bottom left photo along with teachers Danielle Kleiman, Maria Perez, Christine Aichinger and Barbara Ahlemeyer.
