The Greater Ridgewood Youth Council (GRYC) recently launched the tenth cycle of its Connect to Success young adult internship program. The program is for individuals between 18 and 24 years of age who are looking to develop work readiness skills and reconnect to educational opportunities. This initiative is part of a citywide initiative led by the Department of Youth & Community Development and the Center for Economic Opportunity, to provide leading professionals with interns. All participants are selected through a competitive process in order to complete a 14- week paid internship at such places as Coney Island USA, the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum, Queens Botanical Garden, the LGA Marriott Hotel, just to name a few. Pictured among the interns are Robert Molina, GRYC program director and staff Alex Velasquez, Aaron Perkins, Zuleyca Ramos and Gino Ancona.
