A 42-year-old Jamaica basketball coach was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography, Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.

In one instance, Robert Walker, who coaches three amateur basketball teams, allegedly communicated with a teenager via a video chat and instant messaging and told him to strip naked during a video link, according to the criminal complaint.

Brown also said the suspect allegedly asked the boy to pose in front of a camera and expose his privates.

Walker was charged with the use of a child in a sexual performance, disseminating indecent material to minors and endangering the welfare of a child, the district attorney said.

“The defendant is accused of taking advantage of his position as a basketball coach and instructing a 15-year-old and others to engage in inappropriate activity,” Brown said. “The results will no doubt emotionally scar the youngsters for the rest of their lives.”

Walker also conducts workouts with teenage boys, the DA said.

He faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted, Brown said.
