Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Kurtis Blow to perform at Resorts World

‘Tis the season for hip-hop. Resorts World Casino is hosting three popular performers this Friday and Saturday.

Queens-born hip-hop artist Ja Rule is returning to the borough for a one night only performance at Resorts World Casino on Saturday, Dec. 13.

Ja Rule, who grew up in Hollis, will perform some of his best hits between 9 and 11 p.m. that night along with Bronx-born rapper, Fat Joe.

Ja Rule has released 11 albums in the course of his career and is best known for hits such as “I’m Real” with Jennifer Lopez, “Always on Time” with Ashanti and “Between Me and You” with Christina Milian.

Fat Joe is a prolific artist who has had several solo songs on the top charts and hits with rap groups D.I.T.C. and Terror Squad to his name.

On Friday, Dec. 12, the night before Ja Rule and Fat Joe’s concert, Kurtis Blow will perform at the casino. Blow’s performance is part of the casino’s weekly Friday Kickoff Event and will take place at Bar 360 from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. The show is free for all patrons of the casino.

The legendary rapper’s single “The Breaks” (1980), from his self-titled debut album, made it to the U.S. Billboard’s Hot 100, R&B and Dance charts. Since then he has made nine more albums and produced hits for other artists.
