By Mark Hallum

RIDGEWOOD — The NYPD was looking for assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an attempted rape in Ridgewood.

On Sunday, May 8, at 3 a.m., a 26-year-old woman reported that she was thrown to the ground by a male in his late teens, police said. The victim was able to fight off her attacker and fled on foot, police said, but the suspect is still on the loose.

The incident happened near Harmon Street and Seneca Avenue.

The suspect is described by police as being a light-complexion black or Hispanic teen with a slim build.

He was last seen wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt with camouflage shorts, black sneakers and a backpack.
