Police are searching for woman who stole a purse from a senior citizen at LIC art space

Police are looking for a woman who entered a Long Island City art space and swiped a woman’s bag from the counter.

On July 11 at approximately 3:35 p.m., the suspect stole an 80-year-old woman’s purse from a counter at 44-02 23rd St. The purse was located on the third floor in an art studio. The purse contained the victim’s credit card and approximately $125 in cash.

The suspect is described as a white female, 20 to 30 years old, last seen wearing a black shirt, black shorts and white sneakers with pink shoelaces.
