Police are still looking for a man who robbed a store at gunpoint on the Middle Village/Rego Park border over the weekend.
At 4:17 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, an unknown man walked into the unidentified business in the vicinity of 85th Street and Eliot Avenue. Once inside, the suspect went behind the counter, revealed a gun in his waistband and told the 45-year-old employee to remove the contents of the register.
The employee complied and gave the suspect $1,600 in cash. The suspect then fled the store and headed southbound on 85th Street on foot. Officers from the 104th Precinct responded to the incident.
Law enforcement agents described the suspect as a white male with a slim build and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a dark hat, dark hooded jacket and dark jeans.
