Queens Council Member Robert Holden is bringing family movie nights back to Middle Village and Maspeth parks this summer for his annual Movies Under the Stars series.

The Movie Under the Stars Series allows community members in City Council District 30—including Maspeth, Middle Village, Glendale, Elmhurst, Rego Park and parts of Ridgewood—to enjoy family-friendly movies at NYC Parks.

In conjunction with the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, the movie schedule begins on Friday, May 31, and continues every Friday through the end of June.

The Movies Under the Stars Schedule is as follows:

  • On Friday, May 31, Harold Lloyd in “Safety Last!” (a classic silent movie) will be played at Juniper Valley Park, in Middle Village.
  • On Friday, June 7: Wonka will be screened at Juniper Valley Park, in Middle Village.
  • On Friday, June 14: Migration by Universal Pictures and Illumination will play at Frank Principe Park, in Maspeth.
  • On Friday, June 21: Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Wish will play at Elmhurst Park, in Maspeth
  • On Friday, June 28, DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls: Band Together will play at Reiff Playground, in Maspeth.

Holden continues to bring family movie nights to his district and encourages all of his constituents to join.
