Pickleball season is in full swing across Queens, and there’s no shortage of places to play.
With longer days and warmer weather here to stay, players of all ages are hitting the courts—from casual neighborhood matches to competitive tournaments. The borough’s passion for the sport is on full display this spring, especially with the APP New York City Open returning to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in May. Whether you’re new to the game or already rallying like a pro, Queens offers a variety of indoor and outdoor pickleball facilities to keep you active, social and in the game all season long.
Crocheron Park Pickleball Courts
214-41 34th Ave., Bayside
Crocheron Park has six outdoor hard courts with permanent lines and nets dedicated to pickleball, with bathrooms adjacent to the courts. The free courts are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are set amongst lush trees and a gorgeous park environment, providing a fun and free afternoon with friends.

Frank Principe Pickleball Courts
3 Queens Midtown Expy., Maspeth
This public park has six outdoor asphalt courts, permanent pickleball lines, and portable nets available on-site. No reservations are required, and the courts are free to play on. Bring a group of friends or come on your own and join in on the fun while meeting new friends. Public bathrooms and water are available. Players can play up to 9:30 p.m. when the stadium lights are turned off.

25th Ave. and 76th St., East Elmhurst
Louis C. Moser Park has eight outdoor courts with permanent lines; however, players must bring their own portable net. The space offers free courts, and visitors can play throughout the day or wait for the opportunity to join in on a game with others. The vast park is great for spending the afternoon or weekend and enjoying a fun workout.

Commonpoint Queens Tennis and Athletic Center
79-20 Winchester Blvd., Queens Village
Commonpoint offers an array of pickleball offerings that are indoor for part of the season and outdoors during the warmer months, from clinics to open play, pickleball mini-leagues, and court time. The programs are available for adults ages 18 and up, including classes for seniors aged 60+. Prices vary for classes and lessons; more information can be found here on the website.

City Pickle has four indoor pickleball courts and classes ranging from cardioPickle to leagues and tournaments, open play, court time, and more. The venue also has a bar and restaurant to turn the workout into a fun get-together with friends for the day, and it regularly organizes social events for all ages to enjoy the game of pickleball and join a community.

Gotham Pickleball is an autonomous pickleball club with four pro-cushion courts. Guests can make their reservations online and are given a unique code to access the space, which is available 24/7. In addition to court time, players can book private lessons, join a clinic or open play, and meet others through the club’s social events and leagues.

Court16 is a tennis and pickleball club geared specifically for families. It features five permanent indoor hard-surface pickleball courts. The location offers classes, clinics, open play, and court rentals for all levels, from beginner to advanced.

Active Pickleball Tennis Center at Queens College

The Active Pickleball Tennis Center has indoor courts for half the season and outdoor courts for the warmer months. The center offers an array of courses, lessons, and court rentals, including beginner programs, seasonal courts, and pickleball leagues and tournaments.
