Carmelo Bonanno passed away on May 7. He was 94 years old. Husband of the late France Josephine Pichly Bonanno. Survived by his children Vincent, Carmela, Veronica, James and his brother Anthony, sister-in-law Marie and numerous nieces and nephews. Beloved brother of the late Joseph Bonanno and Margaret Bonanno-Sorrentino. During WWII, he served in the U.S. Army 1st B.N. 21st Eng. as a photographer and camouflage technician from 1942 to 1945. For his service, he received the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at the Immaculate Conception Church in Jamaica. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, in Woodside.
