Bloomberg reverses ticket position

After receiving a frosty reception for his refusal to suspend alternate side of the street parking regulations following the Nor’easter of 2007, Mayor Michael Bloomberg reversed his decision and annulled parking tickets placed on cars stuck in the snow.
Drivers don’t even have to respond to the tickets handed out on Thursday, February 15 for alternate side violations, and on Friday, February 16, alternate side was suspended.
On Thursday, February 15, Bloomberg and Sanitation Commissioner John Doherty stopped by at Queens West Garage # 4 in Maspeth to give lunch to Sanitation employees working overtime to clean City streets of the snow and ice.
