Auditions for Summer Stars

The Astoria Performing Arts Center (APAC) will hold auditions for its 5th Annual Summer Stars 2007 Musical Theatre Program on Saturday, June 30.
The program provides musical theatre training to young Queens residents in grades four through eight who are between the ages of eight and 13. Children do not have to have previous experience in order to participate in Summer Stars.
Participants of Summer Stars take part in seven Saturday afternoon rehearsals between July 21 and August 18. The program concludes on August 25 with public performances at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
The Summer Stars program is free of charge.
For the June 30 auditions, children must be prepared to sing a song of their choice and to dance. Auditions will begin at 10 a.m. and will take place at the Variety Boys & Girls Club of Queens, which is located at 21-12 30th Road in Astoria.
The rehearsals and performances will also be held at the Variety Boys & Girls Club of Queens.
