A suspect attempted to rob the Chase bank located at 196-03 Northern Boulevard on Friday, September 21. According to police reports, the robber approached a teller and showed her a note that read, “I am desperate.” The female suspect then told the teller to put her hands up and remain calm, at which time the would-be robber fled with no money. She is described as between 20 and 30 years old.
Man Arrested For Assault
A 46-year-old man was arrested by officers of the 111th Precinct after he allegedly got into a physical altercation with a victim. According to police, the man, Luis Dalto, struck the victim, causing severe bruises and possibly fracturing his ribs.
Garage Sale Theft
A woman hosting a garage sale allegedly noticed her wallet was missing after two women viewed the wares for sale. According to the victim, her wallet contained credit cards, which she claims were later used to make purchases in Macy’s.
