It was sad to read about three more brave Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice in Kandahar, Afghanistan.
Our prayers go out to the families of Sgt. Andrew Seabrooks of Ozone Park, Sgt. Anthony Mangano of Greenlawn, L.I., and Spc. Nelson Rodriguez-Ramirez of Revere, Mass. These men are citizen soldiers who have sacrificed jobs, homes and families because they believed and loved their country.
As Mangano wrote before he died, “This was my choice to fight and die in the name of the United States of America, to defend the greatest nation in the world.” Therefore, these men are patriots of the highest degree and for that I salute them.
