On Monday, September 22 at 7 p.m., Central Library will present Discover Your Career Potential: Summer Series. Ozanam Hall Fall Classic
On Monday, September 22, the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm sponsor the 9th Annual Ozanam Fall Classic at North Hills Country Club in Manhasset. The golf outing to support Ozanam Hall costs $425 per player, includes tee-off brunch, refreshments on the course, participation in the Jet Blue “Shoot for a Million” Challenge and awards cocktail buffet. $150 buffet only. September 1 is the deadline for journal ads, from $100 to $1,500. Sponsorships are available from $1,500 to $25,000. Networking Boat Cruise
On Wednesday, September 24 the Long Island City Business Development Corporation (LICBDC) and co-sponsors HSBC and NY Water Taxi will hold a Networking Boat Cruise, from 6 - 8 p.m.
Meet at the NY Water Taxi pier in Hunters Point for a cruise to the Statue of Liberty and back. Enjoy wine & cheese on board, and after landing, continue networking at Water Taxi Beach, a hot dog and a beer included. $40 for members, $45 for nonmembers. Center for Women Dinner
On Thursday, September 25 at 6:30 p.m., Center for the Women of New York hosts its 21st Annual Dinner at the Sheraton LaGuardia Hotel in Flushing. Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, Deputy Mayor Dennis Walcott, and NYS Assemblywoman Catherine Nolan will be honored at the dinner, which precedes The World of Working Women Conference, “Where Are the Jobs and How Do You Get Them?” and Job Fair on Friday, September 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The dinner is $100 per person; the registration fee for the conference $5. All attendees at the conference are required to bring a resume.
