JAMAICA — A 48−year−old Far Rockaway man was arrested after he allegedly stole a hot water heater from a building on 122nd Avenue in Jamaica, the Queens district attorney said.
Andrew Strowder, of 20−17 Cornaga Ave. in Far Rockaway, was arraigned Friday before Queens Criminal Court Judge Lenora Gerald and held on $20,000 bail, Queens DA Richard Brown said. The defendant, who will return to court Feb. 20, was charged with burglary and criminal possession of stolen property, the DA said.
Strowder allegedly admitted to police that he entered a building on 122nd Avenue in Jamaica and removed a hot water heater, Brown said. Police allegedly recovered the heater from the defendant’s U−Haul truck, the DA said.
