“Star Networking” Event March 4
The next “Star Networking” is scheduled for Thursday, March 4 at 7 p.m. The evening, which will benefit Partners in Health – an organization that combats disease and poverty – will be hosted by 2010 Rising Star Ravi Patel, owner of the Ravel Hotel.
“For me as a business owner it is important to do our part, anything we can do to alleviate the heartache in Haiti is the least we can do,” said Patel, who noted that, through March, the hotel will be collecting canned goods and will be offering discounts on rooms for patrons who donate 10 cans upon check-in.
The March 4 “Star Networking” will take place at Penthouse808, the enclosed rooftop of the Ravel Hotel, at 8-08 Queens Plaza South in Long Island City. Tickets are $25 and proceeds will be donated. Queens Green Business Summit
On Friday, February 19, Queens will turn green for a day as the Queens Chamber of Commerce will host the second annual Queens Green Business Summit at Queens College.
The Queens Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with Queens College to gather key decision makers, facilities managers, purchasing directors, owners and executive members of the business community in one place to interact with regional local leaders and engage in a dialogue on sustainability.
The FREE summit, which will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., will again focus on the latest sustainable, attainable and measurable tools that businesses could integrate into their own companies.
