On March 22, 2008, Omo Deokoro, 32, of 834 Central Ave., got into an argument with Nomar Anderson, 30, outside Loretta’s West Indian American Cuisine at 109-24 Merrick Blvd. in Jamaica, the DA said. Deokoro shot Anderson multiple times and police who heard the shots saw the Glendale man duck inside the restaurant where he discarded the gun and his shirt.
A jury found Deokoro guilty Tuesday. He faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in prison at his next court date April 9.
“Having had the last word in the argument will now cost the defendant his freedom,” Brown said in a statement.
