Howard Beach, parts of Ozone Park, Lindenwood, South Richmond Hill
In what police believe were related incidents, one man was killed and another shot in the stomach on Sunday, July 11.
The incident happened at 135th Street and Liberty Avenue in South Richmond Hill. When police arrived, they discovered Barri Jahoor, 35, of 169th Street, with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
A few minutes later, police received a call to respond to Jamaica Hospital, where they found that a 34-year-old man walked into the hospital with a gunshot wound to his stomach. He has been listed in stable condition.
There are no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
