Burglars sought

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the suspects who are wanted in connection with a burglary that occurred on Monday, August 9.

Police say the suspect entered a private house through a rear window in the vicinity of 101st Avenue and 110th Street. They took an unknown amount of cash and jewelry from inside the location and fled.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 25 to 29 years old, wearing blue shorts with a white tank top and white sneakers.

Suspect number two is described as a black male, 25 to 29 years old, wearing blue jeans and a beige shirt with a brown hat.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.

102nd Precinct

Attack with ice pick

A man attacked another with an ice pick on September 13.

According to the district attorney, Ralphie Rivera stabbed the victim three times in his left arm in front of 79-17 Atlantic Avenue in Woodhaven, causing “bleeding, lacerations to his left forearm as well as substantial pain.”

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he received stitches.

Rivera is charged with assault in the third degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree and harassment in the second degree.

103rd Precinct

Downtown Jamaica Business District, Hollis Park Gardens, Hollis, Lakewood, and Jamaica

Double murder

On Thursday, September 23, police responded to 106-29 153rd Street on a 9-1-1 call of two people shot.

Upon arrival, responding officers discovered two victims, a 28-year-old Willie Cobb and an unidentified woman, inside a Ford Windstar van, each shot several times. EMS also responded to the scene and pronounced both victims dead. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.

105th Precinct

Queens Village, Cambria Heights, Laurelton, Rosedale, Springfield Gardens, Bellerose, Glen Oaks, New Hyde Park and Floral Park

Man shot

On Wednesday September 22, police responded to 146-27 226th Street on a call of a person shot.

Upon their arrival, responding officers discovered the victim, a 24-year-old Hispanic male, shot numerous times. EMS also responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead.

There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.

106th Precinct

Man nabbed at precinct – for damaging door

On September 18, Anthony Oguendo was arrested – inside the 106th Precinct in Ozone Park – for allegedly slamming the door, causing the glass to crack.

He was charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree and disorderly conduct; he was arraigned the following day.

107th Precinct

Motorcyclist killed

A 41-year-old man was killed when the motorcycle he was driving was struck by a car on Thursday, September 23.

The fatal accident happened at the intersection of 188th Street and Hillside Avenue, when a 2001 tan Buick, driven by a 60-year-old woman traveling westbound on Hillside Avenue and making a left hand turn on 188th Street, struck the motorcycle.

The victim was taken to Queens General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. There is no criminality suspected at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

Man dies in book store bathroom

On Tuesday, September 28, police responded to the second floor men’s room of the Barnes & Noble located on Austin Street to investigate an unconscious male.

Upon their arrival police discovered the victim, 25, unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
