Francis Lewis JROTC in Veteran’s Day parade

Seven hundred cadets from Francis Lewis High School JROTC marched in the Veteran’s Day parade on Nov. 11 along with dedicated members of the Army, Marine Corps., Navy and Air Force.
First Sergeant Richard Gogarty attended the ceremony with the select group of cadets from the battalion, including the Battalion’s Battalion Commander Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Gurpreet Singh, the Battalion Executive Officer Cadet Major Susan Tsang, and the Battalion Command Sergeant Major Cadet Command Sergeant Major Christina Liu.
More than 1000 spectators came to honor the past efforts and contributions our veterans gave to us, crowding the barricades around the sidewalks.
The Patriot Battalion Drum Corps marched the battalion down Fifth Avenue along with the Unarmed and Armed Drill Team performing for the spectators.
