As Mayor Mike Bloomberg said, “We are New Yorkers and we all will get through this.”
Most of us did what we were told to do and followed instructions and by doing so were prepared and did work together to get through this disaster.
My wife Eva called a few neighbors to see if they needed anything which included one of our elderly neighbors named Connie who is over 85 years old.
The plans Mayor Bloomberg, MTA Chairman Jay Walder, OEM and the Port Authority put together in advance, I believe saved lives.
Kudos to all that worked together and helped out and volunteered to help their neighbors that were most in need. As for Hurricane Irene, let me say, “Good Night Irene we were prepared for you!”
