A man was hospitalized with injuries after being pulled out of a burning Maspeth home early on Monday morning, Jan. 23, Fire Department sources said. Reportedly, the one-alarm fire ignited at around 5:40 a.m. at a residence on 57th Drive near 59th Streets and spread throughout the two-story structure. Responding to the scene (in the order of their arrival) were Engine companies 291, 292, 206 and 271; Ladder companies 140, 163, 128 and 124; Squad companies 288 and 252; Rescue 4 and Battalions 28 and 45-under the direction of Division 14-along with the 104th Precinct and EMS units. The injured resident was brought to a local hospital for treatment. Two hose lines were used by firefighters to bring the blaze under control, an FDNY source said.
