Truck Makes Mess After Tipping Over

Traffic was tied up on the Van Wyck Expressway in Kew Gardens Hills last Tuesday morning, Jan. 24, after a dump truck carrying asphalt overturned on the roadway. Members of Engine Co 273, Ladder Co. 129, the 112th Precinct, NYPD Emergency Services Unit 10 and Highway Patrol Unit 3 responded to the accident at around 10 a.m. along the highway’s southbound lanes near the 69th Road exit. No injuries were reported, but drivers were delayed as crews worked to clear the expressway.
