Flames Rip Through Home In Ridgewood

No injuries were reported after a one-alarm fire scorched a Ridgewood home last Friday night, Mar. 30, Fire Department sources said. Reportedly, the blaze broke out at around 11:05 p.m. in the rear of the second floor of the dwelling located in the vicinity of Menahan Street and Seneca Avenue. Responding to the scene (in the order of their arrival) were members of Engine companies 271, 291, 277 and 218; Ladder companies 124, 140 and 112; Squad Co. 252; Rescue 4 and Battalions 28 and 37-under the direction of Division 14-along with the 104th Precinct and EMS units. One hose line was used by firefighters to bring the fire under control, an FDNY source said.
