The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in locating and identifying the following suspect wanted for public lewdness while on the subway in Astoria. According to police sources, the man, described as a 25-year-old male, was riding the Manhattan-bound R train last Thursday, Apr. 26 at about 11:30 a.m. When the train passed the Steinway Street stop in Astoria, the man exposed himself to a 20- year-old woman, who snapped a cellphone photo of the suspect. The man is described as balding, wearing a beige blazer/jacket, a light-colored button-down shirt, blue jeans, white Nike sneakers and sunglasses. He was also seen carrying a red backpack.
