Cops on the hunt for serial robber in boro

HOWARD BEACH — Police were searching for a man wanted in connection with a string of May robberies in Queens and Brooklyn.

On May 21 at about 9 a.m., a man entered a Getty gas station, at 78-01 Linden Blvd., in Howard Beach, and flashed a firearm to one of the employees, police said. The man fled with an unknown amount of cash, according to the NYPD.

Less than an hour later, the man struck an IVB Deli, at 115-01 Farmers Blvd., police said. The man demanded cash and cigarettes before striking the employee in the head and making off with the loot, according to cops.

Then on May 23 at about 7:30 p.m., the man walked into Liberty Deli, at 1090 Liberty Ave. in Brooklyn, flashed a gun and fled with money and cigarettes, police said.

The suspect is described as a 30-year-old, 6-foot-tall black man weighing about 175 pounds.
