Wanted For Attacking Woman In R.H.

The public’s help is being sought by police in capturing a rapist who attacked a 19-year-old woman behind a home on a Richmond Hill street late last Sunday night, May 27.

Law enforcement sources described the perpetrator as a Hispanic male between 25 and 35 years of age, standing between 5’5″- and 5’7″-tall, weighing between 190 and 210 lbs. with spiked hair.

He was last observed wearing cargo shorts a tanktop featuring characters from the animated show Family Guy on the front, authorities said.

Both a sketch and a surveillance camera video of the suspected rapist were released by police last Wednesday, May 30, in the hope that someone may be able to recognize the perpetrator and help police track him down.

Reportedly, the rape took place at 11 p.m. last Sunday in the vicinity of 89th Avenue between 102nd and 104th streets.

According to information obtained by police, the 19-year-old female victim was grabbed from behind by the suspect, who then forced her behind a nearby home and sexually assaulted her.

The incident was later reported to the 102nd Precinct; the victim was treated for her injuries.

An investigation is ongoing, police said.
