Woodside Factory Scorched by Flames

Flames engulfed a closed factory in Woodside during a one-alarm fire that ignited last Saturday morning, June 9, FDNY sources stated. Reportedly, the blaze broke out at around 6 a.m. in the vicinity of 58th Street and 32nd Avenue. Responding to the scene (in the order of their arrival) were members of Engine companies 307, 325, 263, 292 and 312; Ladder companies 154, 163, 117, 116 and 129; Squad Co. 288; Rescue 4 and Battalions 49 and 46-under the direction of Division 14-along with the 114th Precinct and EMS units. There were no reported injuries. Three hose lines were used by firefighters to bring the blaze under control, an FDNY source said.
