Founded in 1990, I DJ Now is an equipment distributor for DJs, hobbyists, schools, hotels, and houses of worship in New York City and on Long Island. The company caters to anyone looking for gear to make their parties, theatrical functions, and venues as exciting and eye-catching as possible.
I DJ Now currently has two store locations, one in Fresh Meadows and one in Babylon, as well as an award-winning website, idjnow.com, where gear is sold and shipped worldwide. Sound systems, DJ equipment, light effects, stage lights, lasers, trussing systems, and road cases are among the many products that the company offers.
The vice president of I DJ Now, Robert Marsh, said he founded the company when we was working as a DJ himself and saw a need for more outlets to purchase equipment from. With funds he borrowed from his parents, Marsh rented a space in the back of a popular DJ record store on Long Island. Today, the company has expanded into a premium source for equipment needs.
“Many have said that I DJ Now is like a candy store for DJs and music lovers,” says Marsh. “We have one of the most incredible lighting and effects showrooms out there, with all new L.E.D. lighting effects and lasers that can be seen from miles away.”
Marsh added that his stores have more than 20 computers that are connected live to the most popular DJ software available, so customers can actually try the programs and controllers before they make a purchase. In addition, the expert staff is knowledgeable about each system and able to offer advice on how to it works.
