Let’s Play Ball In Queensbridge

Displaying good form, City Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer joined parents and local youth last Saturday, Aug. 25 to throw out the first pitch to kick off the 2012 season of the Long Island City YMCA’s Youth Baseball League at Queensbridge Park. Van Bramer has allocated $50,000 to the Long Island City YMCA, which runs free baseball, football, basketball and bowling leagues for local youths. The baseball league runs each season from August to September.
