Brooklyn motorcyclist dies after hitting Van Wyck guardrail: NYPD

SOUTH JAMAICA — A motorcyclist died after losing control of his bike on the Van Wyck Expressway Tuesday, police said.

Brooklyn resident Rudolf Wellington, 32, was riding southbound on the thoroughfare at about 11:30 p.m. when he lost control of his 2003 Honda CBR motorcycle and struck a guardrail, according to the NYPD.

Wellington was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
