The NYPD has released a new photo of a suspect, who they believe allegedly grabbed a woman, threw her to the ground and attempted to rape her on Friday, November 1 in Flushing.
The 23-year-old victim was followed from a bus stop around Melbourne Avenue and Kissena Boulevard at about 4:45 a.m. The suspect then grabbed her by the throat, shoved her to the ground and punched her in the head, police said.
The suspect allegedly attempted to rape the Asian woman, but fled when a witness heard the victim’s screams for help. The witness yelled to the attacker that he had called 9-1-1, according to police.
The suspect is described as a white male, 20 to 30 years old, 5 foot 5 inches to 5 foot 8 inches, 150 to 170 pounds with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and dark jeans.
