Supercuts’ Bayside salon, at 41-04 Bell Blvd., is now under new management.
Franchisees Barbara Burdzy and Dan Raghoonundon bought the salon officially as of Monday and will be celebrating a grand reopening on Friday, Aug. 28.
Raghoonundon said he and Burdzy selected Bayside as their first franchise location, but plan to expand by purchasing other salons in the area in the future. The two New Yorkers also plan to start renovation inside the salon in the coming weeks and said that the locally employed stylists would remain at the location.
“We are going to perk up some of the services we offer, and are also potentially bringing in some new stylists,” Raghoonundon said.
In celebration of the grand reopening, the new owners will be hosting special activities yet to be announced, and said they will be offering discounted unisex haircuts from Aug. 28 through Friday, Oct. 9 — for about $9.
The Bayside salon’s hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The salon can be reached by phone at 718-428-5252.
Supercuts is a national franchise chain of hair salons, which has also recently launched mobile applications and a tool on its website that allows customers to remotely check in for same day haircuts.
