A brazen burglar was caught on camera after he broke into a local laundromat, just over the Ridgewood border in Bushwick, and made off with $600 in cash, police said.
According to law enforcement officials, the crook — described as a Hispanic male with a beard, black hair and brown eyes, who was last seen wearing a white hooded bubble jacket, white shorts, a white knit cap and white sneakers — broke into the Ocean Laundry Center located at 104 Saint Nicholas Ave. just after midnight on Thursday, March 9.
Cops said the suspect gained access to the laundromat by pushing in the air conditioner that was perched in a side window of the store. Once inside he grabbed the $600 and then fled the location on foot in an unknown direction.
