Moana — Moana sets sail across the Pacific Ocean in search of the legendary demi-god, Maui, in the hope of saving her people and their home. During their adventure across the ocean, Moana faces monsters and learns to be a wayfinder like her Polynesian ancestors.

I am Not Your Negro — This documentary is a journey into black history that connects the past of the Civil Rights movement to the present of #BlackLivesMatter, questions black representation in Hollywood and beyond, and challenges the very definition of what America stands for.

Kundun — Musical in structure, and supported by a vibrant score by Philip Glass that reverberates with low Tibetan horns, this dreamlike, sensual study of the early life of the Dalai Lama takes place far from director Martin Scorsese’s typical urban milieu. Lush gold and maroon hues fill the screen, in beautiful images captured by cinematographer Roger Deakins.

Tween/Teen Yoga — Certified yoga instructor Grace Magee will lead your tween or teen out of their busy schedules into a place of serenity and strength. Students of all levels will enjoy this class, which mixes traditional poses with partner work, breath/body awareness and strength builders. Participants are asked to bring a towel and water. Young Chefs – Croque Monsieur — Some believe the first Croque Monsieur was simply a hot ham and cheese sandwich which was fired in butter. Others believe it was an accidental creation. NYRR Open Run: Astoria Park — Open Run is a community-based, volunteer-led running initiative bringing free weekly runs and walks to local neighborhood parks. The finish line is open until the last person is done. The courses vary based on the park, but average between 2.5 and 3 miles long. Participants are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes before the start of the run and to leave their valuables at home – bag check is not provided. Open to all ages, experience levels, walkers, strollers, dogs: All are welcome.
