A few weeks after The World’s Fare showcases a world full of flavor in Flushing, the LIC Flea & Food Market will open for its sixth season.
The market’s first weekend is May 12 and 13, taking place at its usual spot located at 5-25 46th Ave. in Long Island City. It’s a short walk from the Court Square subway station and the East River Ferry.
This year, the renowned market will operate once a month, offering the best in food, crafts, vintage items and the all-Queens Beer Garden. Expect special food and beer festivals throughout the season, including the third Queens Beer Festival taking place the weekend of Oct. 14.
The full LIC Flea & Food schedule is as follows: May 12-13, June 9-10, July 7-8, Aug. 4-5, Sept. 1-2 and Oct. 13-14. There will also be a special LIC Flea & Food market on Independence Day, Wednesday, July 4. The market will be open each day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks about additional weekend markets at other Queens locations.
