Police from the 103rd Precinct in Jamaica are looking for two men who pulled off a brazen van heist in broad daylight on Hillside Avenue on Friday, Aug. 13.

The NYPD on Aug. 20 released a surveillance video that shows a 43-year-old man offloading his van in front of 168-12 Hillside Ave. when two men jumped into the van and drove off. The victim gave chase as the van traveled eastbound on Hillside Avenue and jumped into the back of his van.

The two assailants struck him several times with plastic containers and told him to get out of the vehicle. The victim complied and the two suspects sped off in his van, police said.

The first individual is described as a light-skinned man with eyeglasses who was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, yellow shorts and black sneakers. The second individual is described as a dark-skinned man who wore a black baseball cap, a black shirt, black shorts and black sneakers, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
