Over 200 people came out Friday, June 3, for a movie night at “Uncle” Vito F. Maranzano Glendale Playground in Glendale, where families were able to watch “Up” as part of the free Movies Under the Stars program.

Councilman Robert Holden partnered with the NYC Parks Department to host Movies Under the Stars for local families to enjoy outdoor viewings of their favorite classics.

“Nobody felt down at our screening of ‘Up’ in Glendale. And we even gave out free popcorn. It’s great to have more of these events and see families from our neighborhoods, as we get past the pandemic,” Holden said. “Our kids have been deprived for too long. I’m happy to partner with NYC Parks to help families have a night out.”
