An elderly man was punched out in broad daylight in Murray Hill last week and police say the suspect remains at large.
Police from the 109th Precinct in Flushing reported that the 70-year-old victim was walking in front of 141-28 Northern Blvd. just before 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 12. A stranger came up to him and engaged him in a verbal dispute that escalated into violence when his assailant proceeded to punch the victim multiple times in his face before running off in an unknown direction, police said.
EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
The NYPD released surveillance images and video of the suspect on Sunday, Sept. 17.
He was last seen wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt and beige pants with dark shoes and a blue baseball cap.
