The Ridgewood branch of the Queens Public Library reopened Wednesday after undergoing repairs, according to elected officials.

The library, located at 20-12 Madison St., reopened at 10 a.m. after closing Dec. 14 for heating repairs. The work was expected to be completed in a week, but plumbers found steam leaks that led to delays, the Queens Public Library told QNS last month. QPL, when it announced the delays, anticipated that it would reopen the branch early 2024.

Councilman Robert Holden, Assemblyman Juan Ardila, and the Friends of Ridgewood Library took to social media to share the news that the library was reopening.

The Queens Public Library has officially confirmed with QNS that the Ridgewood branch reopened promptly on Jan. 3.
