Carol Gresser, former Board of Education president and a Douglaston resident, leads the emerging group of Queens contenders for city offices in fund-raising for 2001, figures made available by the Campaign Finance Board last week show.
Gresser has raised $152,000 in her bid for the borough presidency, a position open for the first time in 14 years because of term limits.
Gresser and 27 others planning on running for either City Council or the borough presidency in Queens last month filed financial disclosures with the Campaign Finance Board. The disclosures are part of the board
