Loughlin (1-2) fought their way through the Angels defense and into the game by cutting Martin's lead to just two at the end of the third quarter. The Lions tied the score at 57 when Erika Green hit two free throws with two seconds left in the fourth quarter.
But in overtime, Yashika Williams, who was named the game's MVP with 27 points, scored on a drive to the basket while getting fouled with 34 seconds left with the game tied at 63. Her made free throw put Martin (3-1) ahead by three.
Danielle Chambers, who had 19 points and 16 boards, missed a shot with nine seconds left in the overtime. Ashley Bowen, who was named MVP for Loughlin, had 10 points, nine rebounds and five steals.
Francis Lewis 52, Mary Louis 40. Freshman Jasmine Lawrence had 13 points, earning team MVP honors for the Patriots, who had 21 turnovers. The Hilltoppers had 20 turnovers.
Francis Lewis (6-0) had just a two-point lead, 21-19, at halftime.
Liz Strein was the MVP for Mary Louis, scoring 16 points and five rebounds.
Forest Hills 48, Bayside 30. Kamila Barnes scored 16 points and Christine Klusko added 14 for the Rangers (8-2).
Bowne 51, Newtown 49. Angela Fragoso scored 18 points and NaShaun Burrell added 14 points and 10 boards for Bowne (7-1).
Jamaica 41, Flushing 12. LeTanya Grady scored 13 points and Whitney Harris added 11 for Jamaica (1-6).
RFK 30, Van Buren 25. Raven Rodriguez had 10 points and 10 boards and Michelle Wallace added 10 points for RFK (4-4).
Lane 49, Transit Tech 36. Iris Cartagena had 18 points and Taniqua Banks added 10 points and nine rebounds to lead Lane (3-3). Sharon Ogunmogin had 12 points for Transit Tech (3-5).
Grover Cleveland 55, John Bowne 41. Junior Jennifer Barenbolm led the Indians with 30 points, including 12 points in the third quarter, to help Cleveland come back from 15-8 first quarter deficit to tie the score at 37.
Junior center Stefanie Lacku then scored nine of her 11 points in the fourth quarter. Angela Fragoso led Bowne (6-1, 1-1 Queens B-II) with 18 points, while Nashawn Burrell added eight for the Wildcats.
Cardozo 48, Hillcrest 30. Shavonne Roundtree had 21 points and Christina Curatolo added 10 for the Judges (5-1, 2-1 Queens A).
Bayside 80, Robert F. Wagner 60. Allie Falco had 23 points and Gayle Silverstein had 16 points for the Commodores (6-2, 3-0 Queens B-III). Justyna Kasko had 32 points for the Panthers.
Edison 46, Newcomers 32. Ashley Lawrence had 15 points and Jillian DeCoursey had 14 to lead Edison (1-4, 1-1 Queens B-II). Samia Bousbaci had 13 for Newcomers.
Newtown 56, Flushing 36. Monica Pahl had 28 points and Laura Drulyte added 11 points for the Pioneers (3-5, 2-1 Queens B-II). Monet Pledger led the Red Devils with 25 points.
Campus Magnet 41, Richmond Hill 20. Delores Maeweather led Magnet with 18 points, while Credella Credle had 11 points for Richmond Hill (0-3 Queens B-I). The Bulldogs improved to 2-0 in Queens B-I.
LIC 48, American Studies 25. Dedrica Simmons had 14 points, Mikel Samuel had six points and 12 boards and Chelsea Thompson had 11 points for LIC (4-3, 3-0 Queens B-III).
