Late night riders of the F train from now through April 9 will find themselves making detours through the new 63rd Street tunnel along with other changes along the route.

The Transit Authority said the temporary rerouting, which began on Monday, will mean F trains will stop at the 21st Street/ Queensbridge, Roosevelt Island, Lexington Avenue/63rd Street and 57th Street stations from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. every night.

The TA suggests that Manhattan-bound passengers en route to the Queens Plaza, 23rd Street/Ely Avenue, Lexington Avenue/53rd St. and Fifth Avenue stations take the E train.

Passengers seeking downtown F train service from the same stations should take the E train to Seventh Avenue and transfer to a downtown D train to 47th Street/50th Street station where downtown F service is available.

For Queens-bound trains to the Fifth Avenue, Lexington Ave./53rd Street, 23rd/Ely Avenue and Queens Plaza stations, passengers should take the F train to West 4th Street and transfer to the Queens-bound E train. An alternative is to take the F train to 47th-50th Streets and switch to an uptown D train to 7th Avenue where an E train is available.

To go to Queens from the above stations, passengers should take the E train.

On the E line, trains will run express between Queens Plaza and Roosevelt Avenue.
