North Shore Baptist Church avenged a pair of losses to Biordi Construction during the regular season to win the Bayside Little League Major Division title, winning 8-0.

Jonathan Benussi provided the offensive pop with a mammoth second inning home run. Managed by Ed Moore, North Shore Baptist Church used the same batting order of Chris Kakavas, Jean Claude Biordi, Jordan Colflesh, Parker Moore, Adam Heuer, Charlie Moore, Devin Ferranti, Matthew DiGioia, John Bradley, Jonathan Benussi, Nick Cocchiaro and Michael Zhan in every game of the season.
After posting a 12-5 record during the regular season, North Shore Baptist Church entered the playoffs as the No. 2 seed and faced a V.I. Pizza squad that needed extra innings to get past Printing Express in the first round.
V.I. Pizza led throughout the game behind the strong pitching of Michael DiNoto but North Shore rallied in the fifth inning. Adam Heuser’s home run led North Shore to a 5-3 win.
Other first-round winners in the 10-team tournament included Headlines over Major Homes, Prava Construction over Fader Law and Pier 25A over Merrick Law.
Biordi Construction were the top-seeded team and advanced to the final with wins over Headlines and Pier 25A.
Led by Jean Claude Biordi, North Shore then beat Prava Construction in the semifinals. Biordi broke the game open with a home run to dead centerfield and the game was won in dramatic fashion when catcher Parker Moore received a relay throw from shortstop Jordan Colflesh and tagged out Ryan McGee.
