The relative, who asked that his name not be mentioned, said the man was shot in the stomach but he did not see the alleged robbery or shooting take place at 124-18 109th Ave.A witness said two black males fled the scene in a silver Lincoln Navigator after they tried to take the victim's gold chainThe Police Department's press information arm said they had no record of the incident because the shooting was not fatal and it is impossible for the NYPD to keep track of every crime in the city.Daisy Casierra, of 124-14 109th Ave., a seamstress and neighbor of the victim, said she saw a wounded heavyset man lying on the street asking for help. That is when one of her customers alerted the police, she said. Casierra went on to say that noise from her customers prevented her from hearing the shooting. The New York Post reported that the man, 35, was taken to Jamaica Hospital following the incident, where his condition is unknown. The houses on the block of the incident are mostly single-family houses divided into three or four apartments. PS 108 is also nearby on the same street near 108th Street.
