A $1,000 reward is being offered for the return of a puppy stolen from a Bayside pet store.
According to Michael Berger, owner of Vanity Pups Boutique, located at 38-13 Bell Boulevard, the puppy - a $3,000, 1.5-pound female Teacup Yorkshire Terrier - was stolen from the store at about 2:30 p.m. on May 7.
“It was meant to be a Mother’s Day gift for one of my clients,” Berger said.
Following the theft, a police report was filed with officers of the 111th Precinct.
According to the report, a male in his early 20’s with short blond hair, wearing a black sweatshirt and blue jeans, allegedly put the puppy under his shirt and left. He was accompanied by two females.
The puppy’s microchip ID number is 348098100060946.
Anyone with information is asked to call the 111th Precinct at 718-279-5200 or Berger at 917-939-4204 or 718-224-3643.
The reward will be given for tips leading to the return of the puppy or the arrest of the suspect.
All calls will be kept confidential.
