Scholarship brunch at CK

Christ the King Regional High School held its annual scholarship brunch celebration on Sunday, March 18 to honor the students who received full or partial scholarships for the Class of 2011.
Chairman of the Board, Senator Serphin Maltese and the Board of Trustees, administration and faculty members greeted and congratulated students, parents and principals who attended this event on their wonderful achievement.
Scholarship and winners included Marielle Rivera of St. Pancras School, 68-20 Myrtle Avenue, Glendale, who received the “Principal’s Recommendation-Full Scholarship.”
Other full scholarship winners included Edward Caraccioli, I.S. 119, Glendale School, 74-01 78th Avenue, Glendale; Joseph Cavanagh, J.H.S. 202, Robert H. Goddard School, 138-30 Lafayette Street, Ozone Park; Robert Colon, St. Nicholas of Tolentine School, 80-22 Parsons Boulevard, Jamaica; Michael Conklin, I.S. 119; Nikolina Dabovic, I.S. 77, 976 Seneca Avenue, Ridgewood; Juliana Daxland, Our Lady of the Snows, 79-33 258th Street, Floral Park; Joseph Lume, Our Lady of Hope School, 61-21 71st Street, Middle Village; Jacqueline Saad, St. Margaret’s School, 66-10 80th Street, Middle Village; and Daniel Scarpati, J.H.S. 202.
Partial scholarship winners were Jason Becker, I.S. 25 Adrien Block School, 34-65 192nd Street, Flushing; Geremy Byrne, I.S. 73 Frank Sansivieri Intermediate School, 70-02 54th Avenue, Maspeth; Olivia Joza, St. Mary Gate of Heaven, 104-06 101st Avenue, Ozone Park; Elizabeth Kraker, Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, 61st and Bleecker Streets, Ridgewood; Giovanni Manciameli, Our Lady of Hope; James O’Connor, I.S. 119; Jessica Wasserfall, Our Lady of Hope; Jazqueline Mullen, St. Mary Gate of Heaven; Meghan Quagliariello, St. Helen’s, 8309 157th Avenue, Jamaica and John Slagg, St. Margaret’s.
Winners of the Cavaliere Peter Cardella Italian-American Award sponsored by Cavaliere Peter Cardella were Joseph Aragona, North Side Academy, 10 Withers Street, Brooklyn; Peter Ciavarella, Our Lady of Hope; Tina Gregoretti, I.S. 119 and Alexandra Zampelli, Our Lady of Hope.
Finally the winner of The Christina Donovan Flannery Foundation Award was Elizabeth Kraker from Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.
